The roots of the McBride family tree started in Richmond, Virginia. Our mother, Michelle is a self-taught chef whose been mastering her craft for over 20 years. She has always taken pride in her ability to cook artisan meals from scratch. The Southern dishes passed down for generations in our family are near and dear to our hearts and truly represent our family, culture, and community.
However, some of the traditional dishes started affecting our gut health. During the COVID-19 lockdown, we improved our health after thorough research of cultures across the African Diaspora. We were inspired by their farm to table concept and applied it to our family recipes.
Because the change had an immediate positive impact on our health, we created scratch-made sauces to encourage more families to cook at home. Our sauces honor our ancestors of the African Diaspora and their impact on cuisine around the globe.
